Walk for Life

The Walk for Life has been a staple in the ministry and mission of First Choice PRC for well over a decade. It's my tenth Walk for Life (what?!) and I've had the distinct pleasure of watching hundreds of incredible supporters of life come out each year to stand in opposition to the kingdom of darkness that says abortion is the only option. Each year, families, businesses, individuals... adults and kids alike... make the declaration life is worth protecting. Hope is the answer!

To some it may feel like just another walk to financially support some admirable mission, but to us we know it's a rally cry for the hope of Jesus. Where two or more are gathered, He is faithful to show up! Where we are gathered, the presence of Jesus is tangible! When we congregate for His creation- the future of His little ones- darkness will not prevail!

It's why we need faithful believers in Jesus to show up.

We live in a society filled with darkness. When girls and couples show up on our doorstep desperate for answers, desperate for options, desperate for hope, we answer with light. We answer with love that pushes back the darkness. We answer with support they might not find anywhere in their lives from their friends, families, even their churches.

It's why we need faithful believers in Jesus to show up.

After they leave our offices, our aim is that we've been able to cover them in enough hope, prayer, light, and love that they can push back the darkness. We hope they have connected with enough truth about the life inside of them, they won't give in to the culture of death... the culture of "easy answers"... But if we are the only taste of Jesus they encounter, their resolve may fade quickly.

It's why we need faithful believers in Jesus to show up.

With this in mind, we applaud those who show up and show out the truth and love of Jesus Christ both by joining us at the Walk for Life, but more importantly those who every day are fighting back the darkness. We applaud those who are praying for God's light to shine brightly, but also are actively bringing the light into dark places like at work, in hobbies, and even in our churches.

Thank you for being a light in the darkness. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for being bold!

See you at the Walk for Life!
